About

After graduating from Victoria University of Wellington in 1979 with a Bachelor in Commerce and Administration, Chris spent the next seventeen years working as an accountant, auditor, and management consultant in New Zealand and, for eight of those years, in United Kingdom and Asia.  During this time she simultaneously painted, sewed and experimented with a range of textile mediums. She began quilting in 1996, which coincided with the birth of the first of her two daughters.

Since that time, she has become more and more immersed in the world of quilting. Her quilts have been exhibited nationally and internationally in a number of galleries and shows, and published in New Zealand and international quilt magazines and books. Her quilts have won a number of national and international awards, including Best of Show at New Zealand’s National Quilt Symposium in Manawatu in 2007.

Chris has taught quilting to all levels of quilters since 2005. She loves the challenge, responsibility and joy of teaching quilting to others.
